Our ceramic coating process
Step 1
Paint Prep & Decontamination
Every coating starts with a thorough wash, iron and tar removal, and clay treatment so the coating bonds to clean, bare clear coat.
Step 2
Polish Before Coating
Paint preparation determines the finish underneath the coating. A one-step paint enhancement addresses oxidation, haze, and water spots; multi-stage paint correction addresses heavier swirl marks and scratches.
Step 3
Ceramic Coating Installation
We hand-apply the coating panel by panel for a glossy, water-repellent finish that makes routine washing easier. At pickup, we go over curing and aftercare so you know how to maintain the finish.
Common questions
What does a ceramic coating do?
It adds a protective layer over the prepared paint, helping water bead and making routine cleaning easier. It does not replace washing or remove defects already in your paint.
Will ceramic coating remove scratches or water spots?
No. Polishing addresses paint defects before coating installation. A coating is not scratch-proof, and water spots can still form if minerals are left to dry on the surface.
Do you polish the paint before coating?
Yes. We recommend at least a paint enhancement before any coating so defects aren't sealed in. See our paint enhancement page for details.
How long does the coated car need to stay dry?
Coatings need time to cure. We'll go over the aftercare steps with you at pickup so the coating sets up properly.
